My first car was a Morris van modified of course, followed by Fiats, Alfas, Austin Healey, TR6, maturing into Jaguars.
I was born in Canterbury and brought up with interesting cars; my father Ran Macdonald was a local farmer who raced salon cars with great enthusiasm in the fifties and sixties. There was always something interesting around the farm to drive whether it was a Mini Cooper or a Falcon GT HO.
After being away overseas for 12 years I have returned home to Christchurch and opened Macdonald Classic Cars. I hope to help sellers of unique vehicles by selling them on behalf. Venders take advantage of having their classic presented in a showroom environment as well as having a top marketing program to get the best price for their vehicle.
Macdonald Classic Cars specialise in English and European vehicles including racing cars. Buyers are able to come and browse and those looking for something special we offer a locating service, either local or offshore.
Our show room is at 225 Barbadoes Street, Christchurch the show room is suitable for old cars with plenty of natural light, and easy access.
